Lunch in downtown Kochi.  
The menu was in Japanese.  It is a simple menu, and the cost was very reasonable.  Nice lunch.

These three statues are in Kochi City.  If you take a picture of them, the visitor center gave me a post card.  I took my post card and left it behind Ojchan's picture on the wall in Saka.  I bet that will be there 30 more years. 
Things to do in Kochi
We took  sight seeing taxi ride to see the sights of Kochi.  It is much better than renting a car. I don't think I ever want to drive in Japan.  The driver seemed to have a twitch in his hand.  I never really saw him take a bathroom break, but perhaps when we went down to the water fall, or into the shop, he went to the bathroom.  Here again the influence of france in the country side of Japan is interesting. 
An interesting road side attraction.  I am not sure what kind of art it is. 
The water fall road.  It is so rural Japan to have a vending machine in the middle of no where.  There is a security camera, so do not do anything bad.

It needs two signs. 

I was impressed with the stairs.  Basically they used rebar pounded into the ground as pin piles and then they attached temporary construction stair system.  According the driver, ten years ago it was just a dirt path, but then a you tuber came and made it famous, now  a lot of people come.  This stair was built very quickly, and cheaply.  They don't charge for admission, but I assume that the prefecture enjoys the additional tourists visiting.

The last few steps are on the rocks. 
This is a bridge that does not have guard rails, as they allow it to flood over.  It is sort of an popular place for tourist to visit.

Norwegian mannskor and apartment maintenance

On Monday I went for a walk, then Pilates, then to replace the faucet, unclog a sink, replace a switch, and then go to the Norweigen men's choir. As maintenance projects go I need return as the shut off valve is broken and it causes reduced pressure to the sink.  I ordered the part and said I would return.  It was the board meeting at the choir.  I had not completed all the things I needed to do.  I have to get them done this week.  A letter, minutes.  I would also like to put together a short summary of the cod fish dinner.  I think it will be important to have for next year.  We need to get the date on the calendar for events, and to put them out on the website.  People put events on the calendar early.  We are singing on Wednesday for a erlings brother' celebration of life.  That will be interesting.  We practiced a couple of songs
