Portland Lindy exchange PDLX
On Friday afternoon I drove to Portland from Seattle. The traffic was bad but I got and checked into the hotel near the Norse hall. It was a relatively cheap hotel room so I thought it may not be the best, but it turned out to be clean and nice. It is old but it has been remodeled. In terms of dancing it was very nice. I saw my friend Selina who I met in Seattle this year. She works in the medical field doing MRI. She was in Seattle working so she knows a lot of Seattle dancers. She brought a couple of friends with her. I danced with each of her friends. They all dance great. I ate my late night snack with her at the dance. It was funny as she spilled food on her dress and called it a c stain. I danced with a lot of people from Portland. I saw Joseph. He said he danced with mostly the non Seattle dancers, but he danced with one Seattle person. I guess that's similar to me. I danced with only a few Seattle dancers, but with people I had not seen for awhile. A couple people asked where I have been recently. It is hard to say that I have been not that excited about going out dancing. I really like experiencing new people to dance with. I even like it when I reconnect with someone I had not danced with for a long time. The woman Trudy from hood river was nice to see. We had several pictures of taken last year while dancing at camp jitterbug. We had a really good connection then. We danced here. It was nice but perhaps it was the song or that we have learned something different about dancing and that immediate connection that we had before was missing something. That's how dance goes. In all the Lindy Exchange was very fun.
