Mail Boxes


I got a report that the mail boxes were vandalized.  I went to check it out. It looks like they have been vandalized by the weather.  The doors were a little bent.  Make some kids pulling the doors open.  These mailboxes are actually quite strong. The metal is thick.  I don't think similar mail boxes would last as long as these have.  I wonder how much mail do people really receive?   People buy a lot on line but that's usually delivered to the door.  I don't know of anyone who receives important mail at home.  The risk of it being stolen or lost is too great.  Just get it via email or on line.  

So I don't know if I will do anything about these mailboxes.  Maybe I could clean and paint them.  It would make them look new.  If the weather is nice then I will do that.  I don't want to waste money on replacement for something worse and not really needed.

Norwegian mannskor and apartment maintenance

On Monday I went for a walk, then Pilates, then to replace the faucet, unclog a sink, replace a switch, and then go to the Norweigen men's choir. As maintenance projects go I need return as the shut off valve is broken and it causes reduced pressure to the sink.  I ordered the part and said I would return.  It was the board meeting at the choir.  I had not completed all the things I needed to do.  I have to get them done this week.  A letter, minutes.  I would also like to put together a short summary of the cod fish dinner.  I think it will be important to have for next year.  We need to get the date on the calendar for events, and to put them out on the website.  People put events on the calendar early.  We are singing on Wednesday for a erlings brother' celebration of life.  That will be interesting.  We practiced a couple of songs
